APD Identifies Occupants in Fatal Mountain View Crash
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

Anchorage police have identified the people involved in a fatal Mountain View single-vehicle crash Friday morning that left one of two sisters dead.

According to APD, a caller reported a single-vehicle accident on Commercial Dr. between W. Chipperfield Dr. and Industrial Way at 2:16 a.m. Friday. Police arrived on scene and discovered that a 2002 White Chevy Avalanche had crashed and two people, the driver and one passenger, had been ejected from the vehicle. They had not been wearing seatbelts.

Officials have determined that shortly after 2 a.m. the Avalanche was headed eastbound on Commercial Dr. when the driver, identified as Andre Clinton, 29, lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle rolled multiple times and Clinton and the backseat passenger, identified as Marcia Mausali, 32, were ejected.

APD Public Information Officer Jennifer Castro said both Clinton and Mausali were taken to a local hospital. Clinton suffered life-threatening injuries from the accident. Mausali was pronounced dead.

The front seat passenger, Diana Mausali, 36, was wearing her seatbelt during the crash and suffered minor injuries.

Police believe that "speed and alcohol" were factors in the accident. Next of kin have been notified.
