APD Asks for Information on Man Wanted in Warrants
Anchorage police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted on arrest warrants in various drug and weapons cases from recent years.
APD spokesperson Anita Shell says that Leonard Eugene Moore, 25, is wanted on felony warrants for flight to avoid prosecution, as well as failure to appear in court on drugs and weapon charges. While Moore may or may not be in Anchorage, APD’s renewed interest in him is a product of his numerous standing arrest warrants.
“They’ve had him out since 2012, and we’d like to bring him home for the holidays,” Shell said.
Court records show that Moore has an open 2013 case for DUI, misconduct involving controlled substances and resisting arrest, as well as an open 2011 case for driving with a revoked license.
A reopened 2012 case against Moore also includes one count each of second-degree weapons misconduct and violation of release conditions for a felony, as well as several counts of misconduct involving controlled substances.
Moore stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds; he has black hair and brown eyes, and isn’t believed to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on Moore’s whereabouts is asked to call APD at 786-8900.
