AFD Investigators Looking for Cash America Arson Suspect

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

Investigators are asking for help finding a man suspected of arson in a Wednesday morning fire and a woman who may have been a witness.

Surveillance video shows a man near Cash America Pawn on Bragaw Street who investigators believe sparked the fire.

“We arrived at the location with fire on the roof -- we arrived very quickly, we had a full response,” said Anchorage Fire Department Capt. Chad Green. “We were able to keep it only to the exterior to the building; nobody was inside, limited damage.”

AFD dispatched 12 units to extinguish the flames.

Video also shows a woman nearby at the time of the incident, shortly after 1 a.m., who investigators would like to speak with.
