ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

Anchorage police are looking for four suspects in connection with an injury shooting of one person at a business park in the Midtown area Tuesday.

Initial reports, which came in at about 11:40 a.m., placed the incident at the 5700 block of the Old Seward Highway, near its intersection with 57th Place.

APD spokesperson Jennifer Castro says the victim was shot in the foot and taken to a local hospital.

Kevin Hamilton, owner of Hamilton Customs, says he heard a sound similar to someone banging on wood from behind a wall of his business, followed by gunshots. When he went next door to investigate, he found the victim screaming for help, and saw blood all over the floor.

Castro says police believe the suspects were traveling in at least one vehicle.

According to APD's Twitter feed, officers are asking motorists to avoid the area as they investigate the shooting.

Editor's note: Hamilton Customs owner Kevin Hamilton's first name has been corrected from "Mike," as initially stated in this story.
