Dog Walker Finds Dead Man near Palmer
A dog walker found the remains of a dead man near Palmer on Friday, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Around 4:30 p.m. Friday, troopers say a person walking their dog discovered the remains near Moose Creek, just north of Palmer.
“It is believed the deceased is an adult male, whose vehicle was found parked at Moose Creek during mid August of 2013 and was being sought by Alaska State Troopers for an outstanding felony warrant,” AST said in a Saturday dispatch.
The State Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
Family members were notified of the tentative identification. As of Saturday afternoon, troopers say the man’s identity remains pending due to positive identification from the SME’s office.
