KODIAK, Alaska -

A terminal at the Kodiak airport finally has a new tenant after sitting vacant for 18 years.

The Kodiak Daily Mirror (www.kodiakdailymirror.com) says the Navigator Lounge will open at the end of the month at the old MarkAir terminal at the Benny Benson State Airport.

Patricia Altmeter is co-owner of the new business. She says Kodiak has a lot of delayed flights and there's not a lot of available room for people to wait.

The other new business co-owner, George Gatter, says the lounge will include a bar, gift shop and seating for 54 people.

The former MarkAir terminal has been vacant since 1995, when the regional airline went bankrupt.

At the new business, cable TV and laptop-charging outlets will be available for travelers.
