KODIAK, Alaska -

A terminal at the Kodiak airport finally has a new tenant after sitting vacant for 18 years.

The Kodiak Daily Mirror ( says the Navigator Lounge will open at the end of the month at the old MarkAir terminal at the Benny Benson State Airport.

Patricia Altmeter is co-owner of the new business. She says Kodiak has a lot of delayed flights and there's not a lot of available room for people to wait.

The other new business co-owner, George Gatter, says the lounge will include a bar, gift shop and seating for 54 people.

The former MarkAir terminal has been vacant since 1995, when the regional airline went bankrupt.

At the new business, cable TV and laptop-charging outlets will be available for travelers.
