The Municipality of Anchorage will hold several discussions on property tax relief, with city officials asking people to register by getting a ticket online.
According to Mayor Dan Sullivan’s office, property taxes are the largest source of revenue that pays for city services.
“Each year the city's labor costs increase and my Administration has worked hard to cover them by becoming more resourceful and finding efficiencies,” Sullivan said in an online invitation to the event.
Sullivan is asking the public to attend four sessions and share ideas about “new possibilities and solutions on potential diversification,” which requires that people reserve places due to limited space.
The community dialogues take place:
Tuesday, Oct. 29 - Anchorage Senior Center at 5:45 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 30 - Eagle River Lions Club at 5:45 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 13 - Bayshore Club House at 5:45 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 14 - Embassy Suites at 5:45 p.m.
