ANCHORAGE -

Anchorage police say seven people were transported to a local hospital, one with critical injuries, after a collision on O’Malley road.

Police say a truck and a sedan collided just after 6 p.m. Thursday night on O’Malley near Livingston Street.

The front passenger of the sedan was transported with life-threatening injuries and is listed in critical condition, according to APD.

Police spokesperson Jennifer Castro wrote in a release the driver of the sedan, as well as two backseat passengers, were transported, all with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver and two passengers of the truck were transported for medical attention. Castro reported all three had non-life threatening injuries.

The APD traffic unit is investigating the collision. As of 8 p.m. Thursday they expect O'Malley between Lake Otis and Livingston to remain closed to traffic for at least another hour.
