Police responded to a South Anchorage apartment building Tuesday just before 11 a.m. after a man reported a neighbor had entered his residence and assaulted him.

The neighbor, identified by police as 41-year-old Michelle Marie Wold, allegedly was shooting some "unknown type of gun" from her porch.

A caller who reported the incident told police it sounded like there was screaming and throwing of objects inside her residence, and by the time police arrived Wold had fled on foot.

Officers, including a SWAT team, tracked Wold down near Huffman Road and Seward Highway. She was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and fourth-degree assault.

"We were able to apprehend her safely, without anyone getting hurt," said APD spokesperson Jennifer Castro.

BB guns were found inside her residence, Castro said.
