Brett Findlay had a goal and two assists, while Nick Mazzolini, Tyler Mosienko, and Brendan Connolly all furnished two helpers as the Aces scored early and often in a 6-1 rout of the Ontario Reign in Wednesday's opener of a big ECHL series.

The victory enables Alaska to pull within two points of Ontario for the highest total in the Western Conference.  The Reign drop to 33-14-5 overall,  while the Aces improve to 33-14-3.

Andy Taranto and Zach Davies scored 57 seconds apart in the opening 3:22 of regulation to get the Aces off to a roaring start.  Alaska continued to hold a 2-0 lead after one period.

Just 31 seconds into the middle frame, Mazzolini fed Peter Sivak for a 3-0 advantage.  Turner Elson then tallied for the second time as a member of the Aces for a 4-0 lead at 4:49 of the period.

Findlay and Tommy Mele added third period goals to cap the scoring.  Gerald Coleman stopped 27 of 28 shots to collect the win in net.
