For the sixth consecutive meeting, the Aces and Idaho Steelheads played a game that was decided by one goal or in a shootout.  Alaska ended up on top for the sixth time in the teams' 10 meetings this season, prevailing in a shootout, 3-2.

Brad Richard and Zach Davies scored second period goals for the Aces, who never led in regulation but managed to come away with two points based on a 40-24 advantage in shots on goal.   Tommy Mele added the decisive goal in the shootout.

Gerald Coleman made 22 saves for the Aces, beaten only by Brett Robinson and former Seawolf Tommy Grant.

Alaska improves to 27-10-3 overall and hosts Idaho tomorrow night to wrap up their three game series.
