ANCHORAGE -

Reigning ECHL Player of the Week Nick Mazzolini added another assist, this time on Brendan Connolly's game winning goal at 11:00 of the third period as the Aces took down the Stockton Thunder for the fourth straight time, 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Alaska improves to 31-11-3 overall and moves into a first place tie with Ontario for the top overall point total in the Western Conference.

Most of the goal scoring occurred in the first 80 seconds of regulation.  Brett Findlay tallied for the first time since being picked up from San Francisco just 20 seconds into the contest.  Stockton's Sean Escobedo countered at 1:20 of the first, but that was all the scoring the Thunder could muster.

Gerald Coleman made 29 saves for the victory in net, improving to 8-1-1 for the season.

Mazzolini delivered a second assist on Peter Sivak's empty net goal late in the game.  For the series, the trio of Mazzolini, Sivak, and Connolly has accumulated 26 points in four games.

Alaska and Stockton wrap up their five game series on Thursday.
