ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

Defensemen James Martin and Dustin Molle turned into snipers as the Aces held off the San Francisco Bulls, 3-2 to begin a three games in three nights series Thursday night in San Francisco.   The win improves Alaska's record to 20-9-2 overall.

The Bulls remain one of the ECHL's weakest teams at home, having captured just four victories all season at the Cow Palace.

Martin's first goal of the season got the scoring underway at 8:03 of the first period while Molle snapped a 1-1 tie at 15:02 of the second.  Evan Trupp assisted on both goals.  Matthew Sisca added Alaska's third goal 2:41 after Molle's strike, a goal that stood as the game winner.

Olivir Roy made 18 saves to collect the win in net, including several down the stretch as the Bulls pulled their goalie in an attempt to tie the game.
