Condors Lead Conference Finals Two Games To One
The Bakersfield Condors jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first 15 minutes, 20 seconds of regulation and never looked back, delivering the Aces a 5-4 loss in game three of the ECHL's Western Conference Finals Friday night In Bakersfield. The Condors lead the best of seven series, two games to one.
Alaska managed a spirited comeback, getting second period goals by Tommy Mele, Jordan Morrison, and Nick Mazzolini. However, Bakersfield also notched one in the period to lead, 4-3 at second intermission.
The teams then exchanged goals in the third but the Aces never tied the game and now trail a series for the first time in the postseason. For the game, Alaska outshot Bakersfield, 32-29. Game three also marked Alaska's first loss in regulation during the playoffs. Game four is Saturday night.
