Brett Findlay scored twice, giving him five goals in the last six games, to lead the Aces past the Bakersfield Condors, 4-2 on Tuesday night. The victory gives Alaska ( 42-17-6 ) a four point lead over Ontario for the highest total in the ECHL's Western Conference.
Findlay's goals were timely as well. His first, at 14:26 of the second period, tied the game at 2-2. The Aces trailed the contest 2-0 in the first. His second, only 2 minutes and 19 seconds later, gave Alaska a lead it would not relinquish. Andy Taranto scored both of the Aces' other goals.
Aaron Crandall made his second consecutive start in net for the Aces, saving 19 of 21 Condor shots.
The Aces improve to 3-0-1 on their season ending 10-game road trip and travel to Las Vegas for games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
