Fossman Ties Career-High In Loss

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

Led by five players in double figures, the Indiana State Sycamores held off a UAA upset bid to win Friday's Great Alaska Shootout consolation round game, 97-87.  ISU took control with a 13-3 run to begin the second half and led by as many as 14 points.

UAA guard Kyle Fossman matched his career high with 28 points on 5 of 9 shooting from three point range.  Brian McGill delivered 19 points for the Seawolves, who shot 56 percent in the second half to claw back into the game.

The Sycamores were led by Justin Gant's 19 points, plus 13 points and 10 assists by Jake Odum.  Indiana State shot 56 percent for the game.

UAA faces the loser between Pepperdine and Denver in Saturday's 7th and 8th place game at noon.
