Blake Tatchell fed Jordan Kwas for the game-winning goal with 8:47 left in regulation as the UAA hockey team returned home with a 2-1 victory over Minnesota State Mankato, the second place team in the WCHA standings.

The Seawolves improve to 6-7-2 in conference play, while the Mavericks slide to 10-5-0 in the WCHA.

Chris Kamal made 27 saves in his fourth consecutive start in net and kept the Seawolves in the game as UAA was outshot 28-10 for the night.

UAA freshman Brad Duwe scored his first collegiate goal 51 seconds into the game to ease any worries of rustiness.  That was a concern leading up to the game as UAA spent all week in the Lower 48 because of travel delays and landed back home around 9:00 Thursday night.
