The Seawolf women claimed their fourth west region title in five years, while the UAA men placed runner-up to Chico State in Saturday's NCAA Division II regional meet in Spokane, Washington.

Highlighting the UAA effort was senior Susan Tanui, who ran to her second straight individual women's title in 21 minutes, 45.4 seconds on a 6K course.   Tanui is now the first UAA woman to win two region titles.

Leading the men were Victor Samoei who placed fifth, and Dylan Anthony, who took ninth.

Both UAA squads easily qualify for the NCAA championships in two weeks.
