ANCHORAGE -

The Seawolf men's basketball team survived an abysmal first half shooting to defeat Northwest Nazarene team 92-83.  Travis Thompson carried UAA offensively with 34 points, 20 of them coming in the first and 14 of those points coming from the charity stripe.

Shots started to fall in the second half, Teancum Stafford defied gravity on an awe inspiring ally-oop that got the fans on their feet and gave the green and gold a 1 point lead.  Stafford finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds against a physical NNU front line.  Brian McGill also contributed offensively with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists.

UAA will host Central Washington Saturday January 18th.
