Thompson's Late Bucket Gives Men Victory

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

Travis Thompson scored on a feed from Colton Lauwers with 3 point 8 seconds left in regulation to give the UAA men's basketball team a 65-64 win over Simon Fraser  in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play on Thursday night.

The Seawolves improve to 6-4 in league play, dropping the Clan to 1-9 in league.  Thompson finished with 25 points.

The UAA women also won on Thursday night, rallying past Central Washington, 77-70.  The Seawolves are also 6-4 in the GNAC.  Jessica Madison pumped in 15 points while Jenna Buchanan added 14 as UAA came from 10 points behind in the first half.  The Seawolves took control with a 21-5 spurt to begin the second half.
