The UAA hockey team rode a hot start to a 3-2 non-conference road win over 13th-ranked Wisconsin on Friday night. Scott Allen scored 37 seconds into regulation for the Seawolves as the green and gold won for the first time all season in a true road contest.
UAA improves to 9-8-2 overall. Chris Kamal made 26 saves to collect his second straight win in net, while Ben Matthews and Blake Tatchell also tallied for the Seawolves. Matthews notched the first of his college career at 8:07 of the second period to snap a 1-1 tie.
UAA's win also breaks Wisconsin's seven-game winning streak in the all-time series. The Seawolves' last win in Madison came in the 2005 WCHA playoffs.
