ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

The South hockey team avenged a prior loss to Dimond with Thursday's 3-0 win over the Lynx at Ben Boeke Arena.  The victory puts the Wolverines in position to claim the regular season Cook Inlet Conference title, if South were to beat Service on Saturday.

South improves to 12-1-0 in the CIC, and drops Dimond to 12-2-0 in conference.  The Lynx are through with league play.

Kevin Lake stopped all 25 Dimond shots he faced, while the Wolverines received a first period goal by Croix Evingson and two strikes in the second courtesy of Tyler Breitenstein and Tanner Dragomir.  Cayden Cahill assisted on all three South goals.
